Creative Zlin

During 2013 Lia Ghilardi tested her Cultural Ecology Qualitative Mapping Toolkit. The region of Zlin in the Czech Republic piloted this holistic way of mobilizing their creative assets through a series of workshops and ‘open space’ events. Stage two of the mapping was an analysis of the evidence gathered and consultation with local policy-makers and political stakeholders. The final product of this exercise was a series of interactive maps showcasing the creative potential of the Zlin region, as well as providing a template for policy intervention in order to support, nurture and develop this potential.
