PwC Leaders Programme (Sweden)

For over five years, the Swedish branch of PricewaterhouseCoopers organizes and hosts a leadership programme for civil servants and managers working with the socio-urban aspects of local governance. The programme includes among other features, study visits to London where participants meet high-profile leaders from social enterprises, academia, welfare, social research and the urban field.

Cultural planning, with its holistic approach to city making, is one of the core elements that PwC Leaders Programme managers Magnus Hultgren and Jessica Karragher are keen to get participants involved in. This is why Lia Ghilardi was asked to join the programme as speaker and lecturer.

Her talks are usually delivered in London during the study visits. In 2018 she delivered two highly successful lectures on the importance of mapping the cultural DNA of places, and opening up city departments to the co-creation of initiatives and services that meet the real needs of the local community.
